Matthias Vallentin pursues a PhD in computer science at UC Berkeley. Before moving to California, he received his MSc and BSc from the Technical University in Munich. His research interests include high-performance intrusion detection, network monitoring, and large-scale computer security architectures. He currently develops a distributed platform for network forensics in C++11, with libcppa providing the building block for concurrency and network transparency. Matthias has 5+ years experience with C++ and Boost.
